2 x Non-executive Directors, Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust

The Trust is seeking two outstanding individuals to serve as Non-Executive Directors providing support and challenge within the Board of Directors.

Non-Executive Directors will ensure high standards of probity and governance. They will also help the Trust in strengthening the positive relationships with the local community and stakeholders. In return, you will have the opportunity to join an experienced, capable and supportive board, a board keen on taking on new challenges and developing its ability, behaviours and skills. You will be able to influence the quality of our services and our connection and standing in the community.

Person specification

Experience and background (to be addressed in the application)

  • Ability to understand complex strategic issues, analyse and resolve difficult problems
  • Sound knowledge of corporate governance
  • Clear understanding and acceptance of the legal duties, liabilities and responsibilities of Non-executive Directors
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Accustomed to a high level of accountability
  • Demonstrates a good understanding of business issues, either founded in the private or public sector
  • Clinical or allied health professional background (desirable)
  • Social care background (desirable)
