North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a Chair that will provide vision, support, influence and challenge across the Trust and wider North Cumbria Health & Care Partnership

£50,000 per annum for up to 3 days per week

There has never been a more exciting time to join North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust as they move into a new era for healthcare provision to provide more joined up care for patients across community and hospital services.

They are looking for an exceptional leader who shares their values and has a passion for continuous improvement to help North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust become more embedded in local communities and improve the wellbeing of those local communities.

The Chair will provide vision, support, influence and challenge across the Trust and wider North Cumbria Health & Care Partnership. They must have strong communication skills with an authentic style that will engage and inspire staff, Governors, partners and the communities they serve.

The Chair has a unique role in leading the Trust Board and the Governors’ Council. The role combines the duty to lead effective governance, consistent with the Nolan Principles and NHS values, with securing a long-term vision and strategy for the Trust. The Chair role is accountable to the Governors’ Council and has five key responsibilities spanning a range of areas: strategic; people; professional acumen; outcome focus and partnerships.

There’s no doubt this will be a challenging role but also one that will be hugely rewarding.

To be eligible for appointment candidates must meet all the requirements of the ‘Fit and Proper persons’ test as set out in the Health & Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 and be a member of the Trust (membership is free) but must not be employed by the Trust or any other NHS organisation.
