Lay Member, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group

The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire CCG are looking for an experienced professional with a proven track-record in financial management. This Independent Member will chair the CCG’s Strategic Finance Committee and will also be a member of other Board Committees.

The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) CCG have a membership of 85 GP practices, which serve a population of a million people. Our mission is to make healthcare better for everyone that lives in BNSSG. We will do this by putting people’s needs at the heart of our decision making and ensuring that the voice of local people shapes what we do as we seek to get the very best value from the resources we have available.

An exciting opportunity is available to join the Bristol North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) CCG which merged on 1 April 2018 to be part of the Governing Body of the new organisation. The merged CCG, with a membership of 85 GP practices, serves a population of a million people. Our mission is to make healthcare better for everyone that lives in BNSSG. We will do this by putting people’s needs at the heart of our decision making and ensuring that the voice of local people shapes what we do as we seek to get the very best value from the resources we have available.

This Independent Member will be a qualified, experienced and well-regarded finance professional with a proven track-record in the financial management of similar-sized organisations. They will chair the CCG’s Strategic Finance Committee and will also be a member of other Board Committees.

The role will require a commitment of up to 5 days per month and will be subject to a contract of services for an initial term of up to 3 years. The day rate will be negotiated within the range of £340 - £375 subject to skills, experience and qualifications.
