Non-executive Director - Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

We are seeking a new Non-executive Director to join the strong, enthusiastic and collegiate Board and help Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust achieve its ambition of being recognised as the best provider of health, clinical research and education in the UK.

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust was one of the first, and is now one of the UK’s biggest, busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a complete range of hospital and community services for the people of Sheffield, as well as specialist care for patients from further afield. Our 17,000 staff work both out in the community and in five of Yorkshire’s best-known teaching hospitals and we have a long history of providing high quality care and clinical excellence as well as an international reputation for innovation in health research. The Trust is one of only a small number in the NHS which is rated Good or Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission in all of the domains of Safe, Caring, Responsive, Effective and Well Led.

We are now seeking a new Non- Executive Director to join our strong, enthusiastic and collegiate Board and help us achieve our ambition of being recognised as the best provider of health, clinical research and education in the UK and a strong contributor to the aspiration of Sheffield to be a vibrant and healthy city region. We are open to candidates from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds who bring intellect, commitment and energy and who have experience of working at a senior level in complex, commercial and customer focused businesses.
