Bradford Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust are seeking to recruit two talented and highly motivated Non-Executive Directors with a strong commitment to the principles of the NHS and public service to help take forward the Trust’s strategic development.

Bradford Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a major provider of hospital services to the 500,000 people across Bradford and specialist services to a population of 1.1 million in Bradford and the surrounding areas. We are now seeking to recruit our two talented and highly motivated Non-Executive Directors with a strong commitment to the principles of the NHS and public service to help take forward the Trust’s strategic development.

We wish to hear from candidates who can showcase a track record of success in one of the following areas:

  • Financial acumen gained in either a senior role, perhaps as a CFO, or in a professional services capacity. A highly financially literate but well-rounded leader, you will bring your accountancy and wider knowledge to the Board in your capacity as Chair of the Audit Committee
  • A generalist Non-Executive Director, regardless of the sector you have worked in or your functional skill set, you will be able to add value to the workings of our Trust as we strive for excellence. Although we are interested in candidates offering general leadership experience, we are particularly seeking legal expertise.

 Working with the Chair, your role will be to ensure that the Trust fulfils its statutory and legislative responsibilities, whilst always prioritising a commitment to excellent patient care. You will utilise your professional skills and perspective to add value to the governance and strategic development of the Trust, holding executive leaders to account and offering collaborative challenge and advice. You are likely to have close links with the region and will be committed to making a difference to the way care is delivered to patients. You will be a dynamic individual who is progressive, ambitious and driven with a proven record of delivery and able to establish relationships across complex stakeholder landscapes.
