Seven day hospital services: autumn 2017 survey (clinical standard 2 only)
The spring 2017 survey showed that providers are making progress towards meeting all four priority clinical standards for seven day hospital services.
As clinical standard 2 remains the most challenging to implement, for the autumn 2017 survey we'll only measure you on this standard. The data collection will run between 20 September and 18 October 2017 and the submission deadline is midnight, Wednesday 29 November 2017.
Future surveys will measure progress against all four priority clinical standards.
Amendment to consultant definition for clinical standard 2
of a consultant for clinical standard 2 will for future surveys include
those doctors on the General Medical Council Specialist Register who are
eligible to become consultants, but not doctors who have yet to complete

Executive talent pool
We've designed this scheme to develop a diverse talent pool of individuals who can be appointed to executive-level posts in providers across the Midlands and East region, either on a stretch assignment or secondment basis.
Providers can submit their interim vacancies and if you're working at an executive-level or ready to step up to executive-level, you can apply to join the pool.

From the Department of Health: guidance about re-employment of staff in receipt of an NHS pension
This guidance is about staff who have taken their NHS pension scheme (NHSPS) benefits and who now wish to return to work for the NHS. This is sometimes called ‘retire and return’.
The guidance aims to help employers put in place policies and procedures so that decisions to re-employ staff can be justified in terms of service need and value for money.
