Updated information on continuity of medicines supply in a no-deal EU exit

We have updated information for patients and FAQs for clinicians to explain the government’s multi-layered approach to ensuring medicines continue to be available in the event of a no-deal EU exit.

Please share this information with frontline staff to pass on to patients.

Submit your board assessment framework for seven-day hospital services (7DS)

This assessment will provide an update on progress since the last submission of the 7DS board assurance framework in June. National guidance and Q&As are available for providers of acute trusts who are due to submit self-assessments, and our regional teams will support you with this process.

Submissions must be sent to regional teams by 5pm on Friday 29 November.

Share your evidence for the review of pharmacy aseptic services in England

This review aims to help us deliver safer, more efficient and resilient aseptic services to improve patient care and meet the growth in demand for chemotherapy and clinical trials, as outlined in the NHS Long Term Plan.

Submit your evidence and any questions about the review to nhsi.asepticmedicines@nhs.net by 5pm on Thursday 31 October.

Reducing single-use plastics in the NHS

All NHS organisations are now being asked to remove single-use plastics from their catering services and reduce NHS waste by over 100 million plastic items by 2021.
