For action

Safe staffing improvement resources: there's still time to tell us what you think

Together with partners, we’re leading a national programme to develop improvement resources to support you to deliver the right staff, with the right skills, in the right place at the right time.

We’re currently seeking your views on two improvement resources:

If you’d like to help shape the final versions of these resources, please feed back by close of play this Friday 28 April 2017.

Tackling bullying in the NHS

The NHS Social Partnership Forum is leading an initiative supporting NHS organisations to commit to taking action that will help:

  • achieve overarching leadership and cultural change to tackle bullying
  • support staff to respectfully challenge problem behaviours
  • publish their plans and progress so staff, patients and the public can hold them to account

As a member of the forum, we encourage you to commit to making a difference by tackling bullying in the NHS and implementing this initiative within your organisation.

Pre-election guidance

Following the House of Commons' agreement to hold an early election on 8 June, the Cabinet Office confirmed that the pre-election period began at 00.01 Saturday 22 April and published General Election guidance for the civil service here.

We’ve produced this summary of how that guidance applies to the NHS. The guidance does not formally apply directly to providers, but you are strongly encouraged to abide by its general principles.

Our NCP programme aims to reduce product and price variation on everyday products used by NHS providers, by purchasing these on behalf of the NHS.

The latest products in the programme are blunt-filled drawing up devices.
