Cyber security: confirmation of your trust's actions

After the recent cyber-attacks, we and NHS England have been working with NHS Digital’s CareCERT team to check that the NHS is protected against any further attacks.

We sent a template to NHS provider chief executives on 30 May, which set out 39 of the critical CareCERT advisories issued over the last three months. These have been deemed most critical in preventing successful cyber-attacks. The template will reflect which of the ‘advisories’ your organisation has acted on.

If you’ve not submitted your template, could you please submit it to NHSI.returns@nhs.net as soon as possible.

11 July - Inspiring improvement: share, learn, connect and celebrate

Our second inspiring improvement event, on Tuesday 11 July in London, will be an immersive day of interaction and active learning.

If you work in a provider and are passionate about developing your own and your colleagues’ improvement and leadership capabilities please register asap. The event is first come first served and places are limited to a maximum of two per provider.

The event will be interactive, fun, busy and informative – we want to make sure the content and how it’s delivered reflects this so we’re looking for your ideas on formats and topics. Find out more and submit your completed form by 5pm Friday 16 June.

Evidencing the impact of allied health professionals (AHPs): June regional events

Our events will provide your AHP leads with information about our work programmes that are AHP specific and/or require AHP involvement.

Who should attend?

The most senior designated AHP/ therapy lead in your organisation, for example director, associate director, professional head or professional lead.

Due to limited places please identify only one person from your organisation to attend.

NHS demand and capacity training events

These introductory events in June, July and August will help providers and commissioners understand and recognise the principles and methodological approaches to demand and capacity modelling.

From NICE: interventional procedures programme

This programme assesses the safety and efficacy of interventional procedures to determine whether they work well and are safe enough for use in the NHS. The programme aims to protect the safety of patients and support clinicians, governance committees and providers to manage clinical innovation responsibly. This relies on effective engagement between NICE and the wider NHS via your medical directors or nominated deputies.
