2016-17 pathology data collection guidance

We've created this guidance to support you through the process for the 2016/17 pathology data collection.

Submit your data online

Our operational productivity 2015-16 data collection from last year has proven valuable in gaining insights into pathology services across the country and has provided opportunities for you to further your cost improvement programme (CIP) targets.

As part of the next phase of our programme to improve pathology efficiency in the NHS, we need to collect all trust data for 2016-17. We’ve listened to your feedback and have made this year’s collection simpler via upgrading the submission form to an online format

Our operational productivity directorate and extended team are here to help you through this data collection process. If you have any further queries, please email nhsi.pathservices@nhs.net or call 020 3176 7170.

This guidance has built in validation based on feedback received from the last data collection. It is hoped that much of the data within this template can be easily extracted from local management systems.
