We’ve designed this programme with London South Bank University to help senior nurses develop their understanding of the deputy executive nurse role and broaden their skill set and knowledge.

Programme modules

How to apply

We welcome applications from experienced senior nurses/midwives in divisional leadership roles who have the potential to become deputy executive nurses within 12 to 18 months; candidates should also be educated to degree level.

All applications must be accompanied by a supportive statement from the executive nurse of the employing organisation.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview in London during June 2017. Please state your interview availability on the application.

The closing date for applications is midnight Wednesday 24 May 2017.

Course dates

Successful candidates will be expected to attend all sessions and the course dates are:

  • Module 1: 17 July to 19 July 2017
  • Module 2: 25 September to 27 September 2017
  • Module 3: 18 December to 20 December 2017

Following successful completion and assessment, a PG Certificate in Leadership will be awarded.

We’re covering programme costs but residential, travel and incidental costs must be met by the individual or the organisation.
