We’ve designed this programme with London South Bank University to help senior nurses develop their understanding of the executive nurse role, broaden their skill set and knowledge.

Programme modules

How to apply

We welcome applications from experienced deputy directors of nursing or nurses/midwives in comparable positions who have the potential to become executive nurses within 12 to 18 months.

All applications must be accompanied by a supportive statement from the executive nurse of the employing organisation.

Shortlisted applicants will be invited to interview in London during May 2017. Please state your interview availability on the application.

The closing date for applications is midnight Tuesday 25 April 2017.

Course dates

Successful candidates will be expected to attend all sessions and the course dates are:

  • Module 1: 21 June to 23 June 2017
  • Module 2: 18 September to 20 September 2017
  • Module 3: 13 November to 15 November 2017

Following successful completion and assessment, a PG Certificate in Leadership will be awarded.

We’re covering programme costs but residential, travel and incidental costs must be met by the individual or the organisation.
