Evaluations can improve understanding of the success of a programme, offer evidence of value for money and build a case for undertaking similar work. We combine a case study on the impact of the Northamptonshire Healthcare Foundation Trust’s crisis house facility with a brief guide to our approach to create a resource other providers can use to quantify the impact of their own work.
This brief guide explains our approach to evaluation and data collection and analysis. It follows a standard framework including discussion of key considerations for evaluation, such as the theory of change, relevant data, quantifying effects and the limitations of our method. It is best read alongside the case study below.
This case study sets out the results of our evaluation of the impact of Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust’s crisis house on the use of out of area placements and acute admissions.
