Improvement strategy for acute kidney injury

George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust has compiled an acute kidney injury (AKI) strategy to ensure patients at severe stages of AKI are reviewed in a timely manner.

This is a local policy devised by a member of staff at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. The AKI strategy has been designed to help staff recognise and treat patients with severe stages of AKI (stage 2 and stage 3) efficiently, prompting review and management.

Staff at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust explain their acute kidney injury strategy and supporting care bundle.
