Mandating patient-level costs for acute activity

We consulted on proposals to mandate patient-level costs for acute activity from the 2018/19 financial year. Following the consultation, the proposal was approved.

This consultation is now closed.  The proposal was approved by NHS Improvement's Board in January 2018. Feedback to the consultation is available as part of our costing mandation project.

This consultation asks for views on our proposals for mandating patient-level costs for the acute sector. However, we welcome feedback from other sectors. This will form part of our work to extend mandated patient-level costing to other sectors.

The documents set out our proposals and the work we have done to assess the impact.
